Just Discs, or a Full Package?

Some projects stop at finished discs. Others need the whole thing, including printed inserts, packaging, and assembly. Tell us what you're delivering and we'll scope it from there.

Discs Only

You just need finished discs

If packaging is handled on your end or you simply don't need it, we'll keep the quote focused on media, print, quantity, and turnaround.

  • Clean scope for software, kiosk, and internal distribution
  • Faster to quote when packaging is out of scope
  • On-disc printing still available

Packaging Options

Pick the format that fits your project's presentation needs, budget, and disc type. From simple mailers to polished retail-style packaging, we can help you compare the tradeoffs.

How It Works

Most projects move through four steps from first conversation to delivery. You don't need everything finalized to get started.

Tell us about your project

Share your format, quantity, packaging needs, and timeline. We'll recommend the right path and flag anything worth deciding early.

Send your files and artwork

Submit your content master and print files whenever they're ready. You can start the conversation before everything is finalized.

Review your proof

We'll confirm all production details and proofing before anything goes to press. You approve it before the run starts.

We produce and ship

Once files and approvals are in place, your project moves into manufacturing, assembly, and delivery.

Duplication or Replication?

Most disc projects come down to quantity, budget, and timing. As a rule of thumb, runs under 500 are usually duplication, while 500 and up usually make more sense as replication.

Duplication

You need a shorter run or faster setup

Duplication is usually the better fit for shorter runs, faster timelines, and projects that still need full packaging and print support.

  • Best fit for most runs under 500 units
  • Faster setup and shorter lead times
  • Packaging, inserts, and on-disc print are still available
  • Replication is still possible under 500, but usually at a higher cost

Which Format Do You Need?

CD, DVD, and Blu-ray each handle different content types and capacities. If you're unsure, the content size and playback requirements will usually point you to the right one.

CD

Best for audio, software, and lighter-capacity data. Still the most widely compatible optical format and a solid choice when broad device support matters.

DVD

The standard for video, software, and training content. If your audience expects a disc they can play anywhere, DVD is usually the right call.

Blu-ray

When you need more capacity or a higher-end presentation, especially for HD video, large data sets, or a premium release format that stands apart.

Printing & Finishing Options

A complete disc project includes more than the media itself. The on-disc print method, package components, and finishing details all need to line up with the packaging style you choose.

On-Disc Offset Printing

Best when the disc face includes full-color artwork, gradients, or photo-driven design that needs a cleaner commercial print result.

On-Disc Silkscreen Printing

Best for spot colors and PMS-driven artwork, usually in the 1 to 5 color range, when you want a durable on-disc print method.

Jewel Case Inserts & Tray Cards

For jewel-case projects, the front insert, tray card, and booklet all need to be planned together so the package feels consistent inside and out.

DVD & Blu-ray Wraps

Keepcase wraps define the spine, front, and back panel presentation for DVD and Blu-ray projects and should be designed with the case format in mind.

Booklets & General Inserts

Use these when the project needs more room for liner notes, instructions, lyrics, credits, or supporting material beyond the exterior package.

Shrink Wrap & Overwrap

Finishing options that help packaged projects arrive sealed, cleaner to handle, and better suited for retail, distribution, or multi-part assembly.

What makes Nordex different?

Nordex supports projects that require consistency, quality control, and dependable turnaround. We do more than quote discs. We help carry the whole production path.

Built for reliable disc production

From short-run duplication to higher-volume replication, Nordex helps customers choose the right path based on quantity, timing, and budget.

Disc, print, packaging, and finishing together

On-disc printing, printed components, packaging, shrink wrap, and overwrap can be coordinated through one source instead of split across multiple vendors.

Practical guidance before the order moves forward

We help customers compare duplication versus replication, discs only versus full packaging, and the print methods that fit the artwork and quantity.

Dependable support for repeats and larger programs

Repeat orders, updates, and recurring programs stay easier to manage when the disc spec, package type, and print setup are already established.
