With a total capacity of 1.4Mb on PC, 3.5" high density floppy disks still offer an extremely cost effective way of distributing small amounts of data (logos, driver software, presentations, databases) to a very wide audience. Duplication is carried out on high speed stand alone machines, thus avoiding the introduction of viruses. Every disk is verified immediately after writing to ensure data integrity.
